Seventy-five issue series. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... Star Wars returns to Marvel Comics! Marvel lost the rights to Star Wars in 1986, which was then moved to the publisher Dark Horse. In 2015, the series returned to Marvel once more.
After seventy-five issues the series ended and restarted with new numbering, Star Wars Vol. 3.
Writers Kireon Gillen and Greg Pak went on to write other Star wars series, with Kireon Gillen writing all 25 issues Darth Vader Vol. 1, the first 19 issues of the spinoff series Doctor Aphra, and Greg Pak writing the ongoing Darth Vader Vol. 3.
